Taking advantage of this favourable situation, the province of Liege has built up a top-level transportation infrastructure incorporating the most advanced facilities for road, water, air and rail transports.
Liege lies in the middle of the golden triangle Paris-Amsterdam-Frankfurt where 66% of the European air freight happens, 75% if considering London.
Liege Airport is the first European airport centring its development policy on air cargo. Since its creation in 1990, it has been growing very fast and has attained the 8th position in European air freight in 2008.
Also, Liege Airport proposes major tourist destinations for passengers. The airport, right at the exit of the motorway, insures an easy access to trucks and cars. It is also situated next to the “Liege Logistics” park that offers a bimodal platform combining rail and road.
