A wide choice of transportation and logistics supports the industry and distribution business. The province of Liege counts more than 1,000 road-haulage companies of which 12 are in the top 100 hauliers of Belgium. The road tunnel of Cointe, a motorway junction to the south of the Liege city, has been designated as the most secure tunnel in Europe by thirty-one European Touring-Clubs and obtains "very good" at the EUROTAP ranking in 2002.

Public transports are also largely available in the province and in the city of Liege. Public buses run on 684 different lines of which 208 are covering 3,862 kilometres in the province. In 2006, 110 million people were using the network TEC Liege-Verviers, of whom more than two third in the urban area of Liege.
